The video games takes place in the fictional version of new York city,and follow the story of the protagonist Toni Copriani,a low life gangster working his way up to the criminal empire.The game took place before the events in Grand theft auto 3 and lead to the rise of the popularly known Leone crime family.In order to be complete his quest,Toni will have to navigate his way under the rotten edges of liberty City and make some friends and enemy's along the way
